...truly badass solos, marvelous dances between clean guitar to profound
distortion, pinch harmonics, innate drums, strong bass, powerful vocals and they
all intertwine together to create such an amazing metal masterpiece.

Back home. Thank you UK!

The UK tour is over and we're back home in Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been a great journey, a rock'n'roll adventure through Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham, Birmingham and twice to London, including a detour through the hills of Wales.

We played The Rigger in Newcastle-u-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent with the amazing Slaughter Hill - good guys, awesome performance! We united in spirit with Angel House and rocked Ye Olde Salutation Inne in Nottingham, dating back to 1240. We descended into the haunted, 9th century labyrinth caves underneath it and made it up alive. We kicked off in Stockport, had a blast or two in London and celebrated the final show in Birmingham with the wonderful guys of Angel House and Martyr de Mona.

Thanks to everybody who attended our shows, to all of you who supported us and with whom we shared a pint and a story from the world of metal. Thank you to Sonia and Nicky from SLW and TSM Promotions for booking the tour and promoting the band in UK magazines, radio and online.

A big hello and cheers to Alex, Kelly and the rest of you at Thatched House - great place, wonderful crowd; Kaz and Aurora-Project for support and photos; Neil and Karl of Slaughter Hill (all of you) and Rhythm House music store, wonderful backline - go Mesa Darkness, thanks for the gig; Zero at Salutation Inn, perfect job - special cheers and cu to Bruce Gaines, thanks for the crazy stories.

More thank you's go out to Dan from Cavalar and Achilla for filming and being a stand up guy and a skilled guitar player; Tony at The Duke (sorry Rich and to TTSB: hang on, guys, that combo needs wheels); Tony at Bridgehouse II for beers and hospitality; Matt and Solsikk for rock'n'roll spirit and professionalism; Ian Perry and Joe Stump for cooperation and guitar shredding extravaganca; Jay and Martyr de Mona - you rock... and a big hug and thumbs up to our brothers in Angel House; Pete, Simon and Phil - we couldn't have hoped for a better finale, see you!

Cheers to everybody we met on our way. Peace.

Jan, Thomas, Jens, Michael and Jesper.

Debut album reviews

"I can't help but feel very optimistic about heavy metal's future when bands like Black Succubi keep popping up. Just when you've heard a ton of uninspired newcomers and thought that metal is on a slippery trail of tar and poop, some riff-monster jumps out from behind the veil of crap and shreds your face off. Black Succubi is definitely one of those bands."

Mart Virkus, Metal Storm, Estonia

Our recently released debut album has received several and very positive reviews from online webzines. Among them are Estonian webzine Metal Storm, where the album scored a rating of 8.8/10 and German webzine Heavy-Metal who has given the album the generous rating 9/10.

These and other reviews are posted in the Press section.

Here's a small update:

Our debut album was released worldwide through digital downloading on iTunes in July 2008. While working on the album, pre-recordings were distributed to internet webzines and made numerous and very positive reviews from all over the world, spanning across Scandinavia, USA, Australia, Holland, Greece and Israel to name a few. The reviews for the debut album have now started surfacing, all very positive in words and supporting in spirit. Check them out in the Press section.

We are currently working on material for the next album as well as rehearsing for upcoming shows to support the recent release. In June we signed with Two Side Moon Promotion in UK to promote the debut album to the British audience. Agencies for Scandinavia and the rest of Europe are being considered with an emphasis on tour support and live shows.
